With the end of 2025 in sight, things are looking pretty good, but there are still many issues affecting our local business community. We've seen quite a few new businesses open, however we've also unfortunately seen many forced to close. Commercial insurance rates are continuing to rise, with some property owners experiencing increases as high as 30%. In response to this trend, it's important for businesses to implement proactive risk management strategies. In addition, commercial rents are still rising, regulations and fines are continuing to place a burden on business owners, and the effects of tariffs and inflation are starting to impact business. On December 3rd, the North Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce proudly joined Mathnasium Williamsburg in celebrating their grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
